Guided Access for Apple Devices

Do you have a child who is more interested in hitting the home button on your iPhone or iPad, than playing with an app? Apple has developed Guided Access for all iOS devices. This provides 3 important features to help kids get the most out of an app.

  1. The home button can be disabled which helps kids with attention or sensory challenges to remain in an app and focus on learning.
  2. It also allows parents or teachers to limit the time spent in an app! You can set the time limit in minutes right on the iPad.
  3. Specific areas of the screen can be disabled, reducing wandering taps to distract from learning.

Call your ECEC site if you have any questions about how you can use this feature!
