Community Events in Honor of Autism Awareness Month

4/26/18 CARD Spring Training Series: Neuropsychology of Autism Spectrum Disorders 6PM-8PM

Neuropsychology is the study of how the brain relates to the behavior we observe and it offers a framework for understanding and intervening for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

This training is also offered on 5/3, 5/10, & 5/17, each training will take place at a different location.

4/27/18 Game night 6:30-9 PM (Hosted by Albany County’s Sheriff’s Office and Autism Society of theCapital Region)

Bring your favorite game and snack to share! Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

Located at Fuller Road Firehouse 1342 Central Ave.


4/28/18 CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disabilities) Spring Carnival 9AM-11AM

Celebrate with games, treats, prizes galore! The morning will feature a magic show with Mr. Mike Magic from 9:30to 10 a.m. and balloon twisting from 10 to 10:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be served.

Located at the Desmond Hotel 660 Albany Shaker Rd. Albany.


4/29/18 Autism Expo and Art Exhibit 12-3 PM

Over 85 exhibitors as well as games, bounce house, sensory room activity zone. A family free event located at Saratoga Spring City Center.
